What are DOC, POC and DPF?

1. Oxidative catalytic converter is referred to as DOC,

DOC is the first step of tail gas post-treatment. It is a device that converts carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons in the oxidized exhaust gas into harmless CO2 and H2O, and converts NO into NO2.

Excessive sulfur and phosphorus elements are produced in the tail gas, which may easily lead to the failure of the unit.

What should be done to prevent device failure?

Use high-quality low-sulfur and phosphorous formula lubricating oil, CK-4 all-synthetic lubricating oil in Zhongyuan, advanced low-ash formula design, and low-sulfur and low-phosphorus scheme to better protect the tail gas aftertreatment unit DOC, and calmly deal with the stringent national emission standards.

2. Particulate oxidation catalytic converter (POC), which uses metal carrier, is composed of special porous metal foil substrate and metal mesh layer.

The working principle of POC is to catch the particulate matter and burn it off through the high temperature (250 ℃ - 500 ℃) of tail gas to achieve the purpose of reducing PM (particulate matter). Generally, POC can be used independently with coating catalyst. Although both POC and DPF collect PM, the filtering effect of POC is not as high as that of DPF. DPF technology is relatively complex, the chemical reaction temperature is high, and the performance is not stable, so POC is used more in light trucks. In addition, POC can be actively regenerated, and DPF needs manual intervention.

3. Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF)

DPF is currently recognized as an effective diesel particulate after-treatment technology. It uses the filter body to filter PM in the exhaust, reducing the efficiency of PM by more than 90%. Generally, PM ignition temperature is 550~650 ℃, which is higher than the normal exhaust temperature of diesel engine. Therefore, in order to make PM burn, one is to reduce the reaction activation energy of PM by adding catalyst on the surface of fuel oil or filter body, so as to reduce the ignition temperature of PM and oxidize it at normal exhaust temperature, that is, passive regeneration; The second is to use electric heating technology to increase the exhaust temperature of diesel engine or the temperature of filter body to reach the ignition temperature of PM, so that the PM deposited in the filter body can be burned, that is, active regeneration. There are major changes in the intake and exhaust, electrical and electronic systems of the whole vehicle, mainly including the addition of DPF after-treatment, PM sensor, exhaust temperature sensor and other components.
